Okay, I know I'm not an Australian, but I've still voted for YES! The more fans we can amass from around the world, the merrier. Hehe! and a DVD release can only help that, right?!

*grinz at the thought Graham might come across the thread and give Ideal a little push to the other side of the world* That'd be sweeeeet!

Thats a good question, though... how many of our cool Antipodean fellow fans have we got lurking hereabouts?

How should an Aussie version differ from UK version?

If it is about regional coding, can't you just unlock the coding on your DVD player?

... or did you want a complete re-edit of the show with better weather & fizzy beer? (sorry mate - just teasing)

Could be an option - but doesn't it make you feel special to have a DVD released your very own region? *lol* However, there are usually a number of changes depending on your region.

For instance, I'm a massive fan of the Hallmark miniseries Stranded (blame ALP again for that one, since he's the actor I bought it for and I just fell in love with it) and I'm in the middle of buying up a copy in every region of DVD to compare and contrast the differences on the website. ONLY the region 4 (Australia and New Zealand) version,so far, has the making of documentary and its like gold dust to get hold of! I'm still seeking the region 3, 5 and 6 versions, if you see 'em out and about folks, gimme a yell.

That said, I don't think Graham would be cheap and have Baby Cow produce an overseas DVD without the extras on which he and his team have worked so hard. I think he's got too much respect for us fans to do that.

Damnit, I partially corrupted another thread!

All my dvd players are region locked. I'm thinking of buying the series form you poms and then burning them just so I can watch them.

Its on late here and I have missed a few episodes *sheds a tear*.

So seeming as you guys basically know Graham its up to YOU TO GET AN AUSTRALIAN RELESE
.....well your closer

Re - All my dvd players are region locked.

In many, if not most, cases the regional coding is about software not hardware with most DVD players sold in different regions using the same "box" but different coding. It is worth doing an internet search for more info - put your "DVD make & model" & "unlock codes" into google & see what you get.

I bought a cheap UK DVD a few years ago that wouldn't play DVDs I'd bought on an earlier trip to the USA (where, coincidentally they kept asking me if I was Australian, & in 1 case FRENCH!!! - I digress) and so I did a search for codes. For my machine I had to go to the screensaver, open the DVD tray & input a 4 digit number. Sounds bizare but it did work & it now plays all my DVDs.

Give it a try - there's nothing to lose by looking.
